Singer songwriter, composer, sound design artist, playwright. actress, dancer, Elena calls herself "cantattrice", which in the Italian language is a cross between singer, songwriter, and actress. A former ballet dancer, lead singer for an orchestra in a 16 months European tour and studio and TV vocalist, long experienced lead singer for R&B bands across Italy, Elena has been working more recently mainly as a singer songwriter, composer, sound design artist, actress and playwright for theatre productions, also with symphonic orchestras and very popular Italian singers.
In November 2013 she made her debut with her first theatre monologue, based on Josephine Baker's life "...and the Ocean In Between" as a playwright, actress, singer, songwriter.
Elena is the author of the lyrics to "Today- Say No to Child Labour" (music by M.A.Olivero), a pop song against child labour, part of the world campaign by ILO - UN Agency. Due to that campaign she was in Los Angeles on December 2013 and January 2014 when she also performed live in venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Hollywood.
She has a long time experience as a vocal coach in studio recording sessions. Elena plays guitar, ukulele and keyboards and composes, writes lyrics, plays, sings arranges and produces her songs, music and sound effects herself. Her wide songbook includes different music genres and influences: pop, R&B, folk rock, house, electronic, instrumental soundtracks with an emphasis on writing cues and songs for feature films.
In 2014 she joined the newborn Artists Association NIG - Nuove Idee Globali. It is based in Asti and it offers various services regarding theatre, education and events planning. Elena has been working since then in that association creating original sound effects and music for its theatre plays, working as a playwright and actress as well. For NIG she also taught singing and music- composition- sound designing classes. Above all she kept on working tirelessly to expand her art.
In September 2016 she moved to LA to study at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where she is currently studying film scoring, music production, songwriting and music business.
Elena is currently starting a collaboration with a director, related to a script she wrote and to her music.
